For Quran associations & centers

Manage Quran memorization circles with clarity and care.

Waten is a Saudi system that brings the association, center, circle, teacher, and parent into one platform: attendance, recitation and memorization plans, exams and certificates, and reports — in Arabic, from the teacher's phone.

Waten is software for associations and centers to run their own Quran circles. We don't teach Quran or offer classes to individuals.

Built by Masar Software Solutions — core database and servers hosted in Saudi Arabia.

About the platform

What is Waten?

Waten is an all-in-one Saudi SaaS platform for Quran memorization associations, centers, and circles. It connects management, supervisors, teachers, parents, and students in one system — fully Arabic, on phone and web.

1

Arabic-first

A fully Arabic, right-to-left interface with Arabic numerals and the Hijri (Umm al-Qura) calendar in reports, built for Saudi associations.

2

Mobile-first

Teachers start a circle with one tap and record attendance, new memorization, and review in three taps or fewer — on iOS, Android, and the web.

3

Multi-level structure

One association runs many centers and boys' and girls' circles, with six roles and permissions the association edits itself.

4

Security & privacy

Core database and servers in Jeddah, inside Saudi Arabia, with each association's data isolated, encrypted connections, and continuous encrypted backups.

Designed for every role in the association

Executive Director

A full view of the association: attendance, pages memorized, teacher commitment, and circles that never met.

Operations Manager

Enrolls students, assigns them to circles, and prints their login slips in one batch.

Supervisor

Field visits to circles, exam-nomination approvals, and a monthly PDF report.

Teacher

Takes attendance and records memorization and review against each student's plan, and nominates students for exams.

Parent

A report after every session, each child's attendance and memorization record, and in-app messages with the teacher.

Student

A permanent memorization record by juz, with points, trophies, and a rewards store.

Challenges

The problems we solve

Most circles are still run on paper and WhatsApp. Waten replaces that with one coherent system.

Paper attendance nobody can check

Attendance notebooks go missing, and parents can't see when their child attended or was absent.

Parents with no visibility

Fathers don't know what their children recited today, or how memorization is progressing.

Circles that never met — and nobody knew

Directors find out which circles didn't meet or started late only after the fact.

Rewriting the daily portion every day

Typing the surah and ayah by hand for every student, every session, eats into recitation time.

Exam nominations by memory

Who deserves an exam is guessed — with no accurate record of what each student recited.

Management reports weeks late

Executive directors get KPIs weeks after the fact, and only after someone builds them by hand.

Features

What you get with Waten

Everything an association needs to run its circles — from enrollment to completion certificates.

Students & circles

Enroll students and assign them to centers and circles, with boys' and girls' circles kept separate, and print logins for hundreds of students in one batch.

Memorization & review plans

A plan per student with the portion size and direction (Al-Fatiha to An-Nas or the reverse), scheduled review of recent and older memorization, and tomorrow's portion suggested automatically.

Recitation & evaluation

Teachers record new memorization, review, mistakes, and a grade in three taps or fewer — "portion complete" without retyping the surah and ayah.

Location-verified teacher check-in

Teachers check in and out from the circle's location under a policy the association sets per circle, with fake-GPS detection and late starts flagged automatically.

Daily circle sheet

What every student memorized and reviewed today and how many pages, with attendance totals — plus a view of the circles that didn't meet.

Exams & certificates

Teachers nominate, supervisors approve, slots get booked; certificates carry the association's logo, stamp, and signatures and are verifiable by QR code.

Parent portal

A report after every session, attendance and memorization history, enrollment and leave requests that excuse absences automatically, and in-app messages with the teacher.

Reports & KPIs

40+ metrics on the Hijri calendar: attendance by name, pages per day, week, and month, teacher commitment — exported as PDF or CSV, or scheduled in the app.

Staff, sponsors & motivation

Teacher leave with a substitute, supervisor visits, sponsors linked to their students with thank-you cards, and points, trophies, and a rewards store.

FAQ

Questions about Waten

Short answers to what associations ask before joining.

What is Waten?

Waten (وتين) is a Saudi system for managing Quran memorization associations, centers, and circles, built by Masar Software Solutions. It brings management, supervisors, teachers, parents, and students into one Arabic platform on phone (iOS and Android) and web: attendance, recitation and memorization plans, exams and certificates, and reports.

Who is Waten for?

Quran memorization associations (جمعيات تحفيظ القرآن الكريم) in Saudi Arabia, with their centers and circles, for boys and girls. It has six roles: executive director, operations manager, supervisor, teacher, parent, and student. Waten is management software for associations; it does not teach Quran to individuals.

How does a teacher record attendance and recitation?

The teacher starts the circle with one tap, takes attendance, and records new memorization, review, mistakes, and a grade in three taps or fewer. The memorization plan suggests each student's portion automatically, so "portion complete" is one tap — no retyping the surah and ayah. If the connection drops mid-session, what was recorded is kept and sent automatically once it returns.

Does Waten support memorization and review plans?

Yes. Each student has a plan with the portion size the association sets and a direction (Al-Fatiha to An-Nas or the reverse), scheduled review of recent and older memorization, and a 30-juz map showing what the student has memorized and how well.

How can an association confirm teachers actually showed up?

Teachers check in and out from the circle's location; per circle, the association makes the location check required, advisory, or off, and the system detects fake GPS. Directors see which circles didn't meet or started late, and a commitment score for each teacher.

Can parents follow their child's memorization?

Yes, in the Waten app: parents get a report after every session, see each child's attendance and memorization record by juz, submit enrollment or leave requests that excuse the absence automatically once approved, and message the teacher in the app.

What reports does Waten give an association?

A report builder with 40+ metrics: attendance by name, pages memorized and reviewed per day, week, and month, teacher commitment, and exams. Reports use the Hijri (Umm al-Qura) or Gregorian calendar, export as PDF or CSV, and can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly in the app — plus a daily sheet for every circle.

Does Waten issue certificates, and how are they verified?

Yes: completion, memorization, tajweed, and attendance certificates with the association's logo, stamp, and signatures, on templates the association designs. Every certificate carries a number and a QR code that opens a verification page on watein.app, and the association can revoke a certificate.

Does Waten keep boys' and girls' circles separate?

Yes. The association sets each circle's gender and the system refuses to enroll a student in a circle that doesn't match; each staff member's access can also be limited to specific centers.

Does Waten support remote circles?

Yes, enabled per association on request: live audio circles with a recitation queue and attendance recorded from participation, which supervisors can follow live. Recurring audio staff meetings can be enabled too.

Where is an association's data stored?

Waten's core database and servers are hosted inside Saudi Arabia on Oracle Cloud in Jeddah, with each association's data isolated from every other, encrypted connections, and continuous encrypted backups.

How does an association get started, and what does it cost?

Fill in the contact form on this page and the Masar team will reach out within one business day to present the platform. The annual subscription is set per agreement by the association's size; Masar then creates the association's account and trains its team, and the operations manager prints logins for every student in one batch.
